WTHI-TV is a CBS affiliate serving Western Indiana and Eastern Illinois from its studio in downtown Terre Haute, Indiana.
Established by the legendary Anton "Tony" Hulman, Jr., WTHI-TV took to the air July 22, 1954. WTHI-TV has been the news leader in the Wabash Valley. We were first on the air, first with film, first with videotape, first with live capability, first with a computerized newsroom, first with digital news gathering equipment, first with satellite uplink, first with live, local Doppler radar and first as the local news choice.
This tradition of leadership is one we're proud of and speaks volumes about the quality and dedication of our employees.
Community involvement is an everyday issue with WTHI-TV. Our position of leadership continues with the outstanding support we give to local United Way agencies, schools, churches, businesses and our own event participation, such as "Share Your Thanksgiving" and the Riley Children's Hospital "Children's Miracle Network Telethon."
WTHI-TV has been committed to broadcast excellence from the beginning and continues with the best in programming from the CBS television network, the top programs in syndication and a local news organization that has dominated the competition.
Emmis Communications and WTHI-TV will continue their dedication to serving the needs of the Wabash Valley.
